Mutated Sewer Rat

Mutated Sewer Rats are hostile mobs that can be found deep inside the infested sewers beneath the town of Aresis. Similarly to Large Rats, they are not generally dangerous on their own, but can be challenging to deal with in large numbers due to their attack speed and narrow confines of the tunnels they are found in. Also like Large Rats, they can strafe to the side upon approaching the player, which can make a heavy first strike miss. Upon death they drop 15 xp and an assortment of items.

Recommended Strategy[edit | edit source]
The best way to defeat them is to fight 1 on 1 as they are dangerous in large numbers. It is also possible to defeat multiple by hitting them in sync, but if an attack misses one then they can deal a very large amount of damage. Start with a heavy strike (Charge this as it approaches since they attack quickly) and follow up with consecutive quick slashes. It is important to make sure the area is open enough that the blade has room to swing, so stay away from walls.
